Dear Chef Serina... - Bruin Broadcast Network

SLC High Command had a pretty important message for Chef Serina this morning.

And click HERE to review our special feature on our two Summer Immersion Service Trips abroad!

Campus Ministry is inviting you to a Lunch and Learn next week on Thursday, November 5th, during 5th period. Come hear from a friar, a religious sister, a director of a homeless shelter, a manager of a non-profit, a youth minister, and a church music director, to help you hear about some of these options and to begin to discern how you might be able to use YOUR gifts to serve the world! Sign up using the Google Form from Ms. Jesse.

A reminder to Sophomores and Freshmen, next Wednesday November 4th is your scheduled locker clean out. Please remember to dump the water into the buckets, crush your plastic bottles before putting them into the blue plastic recycling bins, and throw out any trash into the garbage bins. Locker cleanouts will begin about 8:30 before school and continue through homeroom (after you check in with your homeroom teachers of course). There will be some Environmental club members around to help out if you have any questions. Thanks for doing your part to keep Padua environmentally conscious.

And the announcement your stomachs have been waiting for….Thursday, November 19th will be Padua’s’ annual Thanksgiving lunch. Tickets go on sale on MONDAY, November 2nd. This year’s ten dollar ticket includes Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Green Bean Casserole, Cranberry Sauce, Rolls & Butter, Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Topping, and Water. Tickets may be ordered online starting Monday the 2nd through Sunday, November 15th. Tickets can be purchased online but may also be purchased with cash or check during lunch periods on the 9th through the 11th. Please stop in the Business Office if you have any questions.

And last but not least, tickets are on sale now for our Fall Play – Sense and Sensibility and Margaret at Hometown Ticketing. Come see Anna Marie, Violet and Melanie as the three Dashwood sisters in this classic romantic comedy by Jane Austen, adapted for the stage by our very own Mrs. Simna. And it’s dinner theater at High Tea, Bruins! So don’t miss it.

Yesterday’s Padua poll was a pretty solid win for Casper, Slimer, and Jacob Marley – More Bruins think ghosts are real than not. Your Faceoff Friday poll is a good one for the upcoming holiday – Is Nightmare Before Christmas a Halloween Movie? Or a Christmas Movie?
