Too close to call! Homecoming nominations head to a run-off election!

The class of 2026 took to their chromebooks early Wednesday morning to submit their nominations for this year’s Homecoming Court, and in a stunning twist, the results are too close to call. SLC Advisor Mrs. Simna reports that the names submitted as nominations are neck-and-neck and the nomination form alone isn’t enough to determine who will be this year’s Top 20.
“It’s crazy. This hasn’t happened in all my years of running SLC and organizing these nominations. There must be just too many awesome Bruins, it’s hard to pick!” she joked to her 10th period English Lit and Genre: Fantasy and Mythology class, Wednesday afternoon. “It’s a cool problem to have,” added Senior Class Advisor, Mr. Eiben. “Every vote really does count.”
Seniors were sent a run-off ballot late Wednesday night with the top 15 names of Bruins, 10 of whom will be announced on the BBN’s Friday morning news show. For now, it remains a tight race, and the BBN sincerely wishes good luck to all those in the running!
