BBN Launches its first ever Guest Anchor nomination form
At last month’s production meeting, BBN.com Editor-in-Chief CC Thomas and her team workshopped a new initiative for BBN Guest Anchor Friday. Now, for the first time ever, viewers have a chance to nominate their peers and favorite teachers to be guest anchors on the BBN.
Guest anchors have long been a tradition at the Bruin Broadcast Network, with faculty favorites Mrs. Zolkowski and Ms. Blum often representing the faculty. And seniors Anthony Myrick, Brayden Mordarski, Jack Speth, and CJ Angelone spent the fall semester switching off on Fridays and appearing in pre-show games with fellow seniors Bella Salyards and Amilya Lampa. But guest anchors have traditionally been picked internally or suggested to Station Moderator Mrs. Simna in unofficial “hallway meetings” among peers.

Now, Padua students everywhere have a chance to see their favorite Bruins on the air. And all they have to do is navigate to www.bruinbroadcastnetwork.com and click on the “Guest Anchor Nomination” tab to submit their candidates. Nominees will then either be selected by Padua Lead and Associate producers or voted on in Homerooms. Stay tuned!
