Official Padua Dance Rules and Regulations
All students and their guests attending a Padua dance must read and comply with the rules and regulations listed below:
- All school rules are in effect, whether the dance is on school property or not.
- Once a student leaves the dance, they are not allowed to return. Parental permission will be required for students to leave the dance early. NO MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED.
- The police will hold any student in possession of alcohol or drugs or found to have used such substances before attending the dance until their parents can pick them up. All students may be subject to an on-site breathalyzer test. If the test proves positive, the Parma police can arrest offending students.
- Students may not bring containers such as water, soda, or sports drink bottles into the dance.
- Dancing should reflect proper modesty. Sexually suggestive styles of dancing such as grinding or backside to front dancing, will not be permitted. Additionally, break-dancing, moshing, and similar styles of dancing that encourage pushing, excessive jumping, throwing, and physical force are not permitted.
- The dress code for Homecoming is semi-formal to formal. The dress code for Prom is formal.
- All outside guests must be in 9th grade or above but must not be over 20 years of age.
- All students attending must check in upon arrival. Parents will be notified if a student does not arrive by an hour past the official start time.
- Students may not leave prior to an hour before the official end time.
- Students who do not comply with these rules or the directives of dance moderators will be subject to disciplinary action, including detention and/or removal from the dance. Padua students are responsible for the conduct of their guests.
