Padua Mock Trial Shines at Regional Competition
Padua’s Mock Trial teams showed remarkable skill and poise at last Friday’s regional competition, earning multiple individual accolades even though the teams will not advance to the state level this year.
The students’ performances were recognized with several awards: Bella Croft, Jacob Reyes, and David Norton were named Outstanding Witnesses, while Marolina Eldeeb earned the honor of Outstanding Attorney. Remarkably, the teams won the Outstanding Witness award in three of the four trials they competed in.
Across both district and regional levels, eight Padua students captured individual honors: Sophia Zhuchyk, Chloe Mouzaya, Marolina Eldeeb, Bella Croft, Nico Senior, Jacob Reyes, David Norton, and Emma Exconde. Bella Croft stood out in particular, taking home the Outstanding Witness award at both district and regional competitions.

Coaches Winger and Mahoney also praised the leadership and dedication of the team’s seniors—Nico Senior, Sophia Zhuchyk, Sophia Swartwood, Paige Muhvic, and Bella Croft—whose contributions over the years have left a lasting mark on the program.
“Although we won’t be advancing to state, this has been an awesome season,” the coaches said. “We’re already looking forward to next year!”
