ZsportS encourages BBN viewers to go to tonight’s Volleyball game at Holy Name and get loud and proud in the stands…plus more “Friday Features”

Mrs. Zolkowski, the BBN’s sports reporter in residence, has branded her show “ZsportS” this year, and she plans on, “talking to everybody!” Last Friday, she sat down with members of the Varsity Volleyball Team, pushing TONIGHT’S Holy Name game. If you’ve got nowhere to be tonight, consider cheering those Lady Bruins on to Victory.
The BBN also received an unprecedented number of requests from first period teachers this morning, asking about today’s “Blast from the Past” segment. We were proud to revive last year’s BBN submission to the STN Silent Film HorrorFest competition, “Date Night Creeps.” If you are an aspiring filmmaker, consider reaching out to BBN Associate Producer, Delaney Hovan ’27 who is heading up our STN contest submissions this year.
Lead Producer Audrey Szwec has been investigating Bruins who are making a difference in her series, “Bruin Closeup.” This week, she interviewed Madeline and Marie on their new Crochet Club and the amazing services they’re providing to hospitals and nursing homes.
And sophomore and BBN Associate Producer Layla McQuaid is tirelessly researching, writing, casting, recording, editing, and producing her “Mother Earth Minute” segment this year, bringing tons of BBN Talent along for the ride. This week’s episode was a fascinating look at what some of our most feared and creepy bugs actually contribute to our environment.

Lastly, the faculty is currently leading in our ongoing GenX vs. GenZ trivia tournament, with Mrs. Schepis and Mrs. Oles-Smith stepping up. The latest game featured questions about Taylor Swift, Madonna, Italian Brainrot, and Skip-it. Check it out.
