UPDATED: Olympic Day Sign-ups are LIVE and ready for Bruins to show Padua what they’re made of

Bruins can now sign up for any and all Olympic Week events, including three new preliminary contests during the week of February 24th, as well as all classic games for the main event on February 28th. On Monday of this past week, the SLC released one google form on which all students, faculty, and staff can indicate which games they’d like to play, which include a ping pong tournament, spikeball tournament, pie eating contest, musical chairs, relay race, tug of war, and a giant human-sized game of Hungry Hippos.
Last month, the BBN released this year’s Olympic Week Rundown, courtesy of the SLC and literally years worth of development and preparation. In an effort to bring more spirit to the event and to the spring semester as a whole, members of the Student Leadership Core have put together a series of preliminary contest in the days leading up to Olympic Day on Friday, February 28th. Then on March 1st, the week will culminate with Padua’s first ever Spring Fling dance, featuring all the perks of Homecoming plus a 360 camera experience.
Nathan Carlson, president of the Class of 2027 had this to say: “What I’m most excited for is the extra challenges and even more dress-down days. It’s going to be super fun, and we can’t wait to see everyone get involved!”

In a featured segment a few weeks ago, SLC Moderator Mrs. Simna gave Padua students a sneak peek at those events, including dress up themes like Greek Day, Decades Day and Olympic Ring color day. “This is something the current senior class has been working on since they were sophomores,” she said, shouting out the Class of 2025 especially in the years’ long effort to get a week long series of dress down days and games approved for early Spring. “And the spring fling is gonna be a blast. So excited to be bringing something new for Student Life in the spring semester.”
